What is sin?
1 John
4
Everyone who keeps sinning is violating Torah - indeed, sin is violation of Torah.
Sin is violation of Torah (the Law).
If the Law is 'Done Away With' or if 'We're No Longer Under the Law' how do we sin? Why do we need a Savior?
Romans Ch 5
8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in that the Messiah died on our behalf while we were still sinners.
Proverbs Ch 28
9
If a person will not listen to Torah, even his prayer is an abomination.
The above is a practical answer to impractical doctrines. So why do churches teach against the law?
What did King David write in Psalms Ch 119
44
and I will keep your Torah always, forever and ever.
King David said he will keep G-D's Torah 'Forever and Ever'. Not just until YESHUA's time on the earth.
What did YESHUA our LORD say in Matthew Ch 5
18
Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so
much as a yud or a stroke will pass from the Torah -- not until
everything that must happen has happened.
19
So whoever disobeys the least of these mitzvot and teaches others to do
so will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever obeys
them and so teaches will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Let's investigate verse 18 and 19 very carefully
In verse 18 YESHUA clearly states that 'Until Heaven and Earth Pass Away' not so much as a yud or a strike will pass from the Torah--not until everything that must happen has happened.
Heaven and Earth has not passed away yet and everything that must happen has not happened.
In verse 19 YESHUA warns that whoever disobeys the 'Least' of these Mitzvot and teaches other to do so will be called the 'Least' in the Kingdom of Heaven. This is an eternal law and not a law that ended when YESHUA died. YESHUA goes on to say that whoever obeys them and so teaches will be called 'Great' in the Kingdom of Heaven.
This is no hard to understand. Man's rebellion attempts to discard and manipulate these verses to match their fleshly doctrines.
What did Paul write in Romans Ch 3
31
Does it follow that we abolish Torah by this trusting? Heaven forbid! On the contrary, we confirm Torah.
Paul did not teach that the Law was done away with. His writings, as Peter teaches us in 2 Peter Ch 3
15
And think of our Lord's patience as deliverance, just as our dear
brother Sha'ul also wrote you, following the wisdom God gave him.
16
Indeed, he speaks about these things in all his letters. They contain
some things that are hard to understand, things which the uninstructed
and unstable distort, to their own destruction, as they do the other
Scriptures.
The reason people teach against the Law is because they deny G-D's Truth, the Teachings of YESHUA, the teachings of Paul which is based off G-D's Truth and the Teachings of YESHUA and the teachings of James, John and Peter, the Prophets, King David, the Torah itself. Man fights to force the Scriptures to support their man-mind doctrines. The Scriptures are G-D's Living Word, created to correct, teach and change man and teach man how to live a life of Holiness and Righteous living for G-D. Man wants to live for himself not G-D.
G-D made HIS LIVING WORD practical for all to understand. The rebellion of man takes G-D's LIVING WORD and manipulates it into lies and false doctrines.
You alone must read the Scriptures by the Guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT Who will teach you all things. If we lived to be a thousand years old we would never even understand in fullness Genesis Ch 1:1 let alone the entire Scriptures. G-D's Word is Living and everyday we are to study and learn G-D's Living Word as whole, not broken down into denominational errors and lies. Reading and studying G-D's Living Word is a life long journey. Not a yearly Bible course.
Ask yourself this one question:
Why do people believe Proverbs Ch 3
5
Trust in ADONAI with all your heart; do not rely on your own understanding.
6
In all your ways acknowledge him; then he will level your paths.
But deny Proverbs Ch 28
9
If a person will not listen to Torah, even his prayer is an abomination.
The 'Picking and Choosing' of what Bible verse to accept is open rebellion that has its origin in evil.
G-D'S Living Word is 'Whole'. From Beginning to End. YESHUA is the Beginning and the End. In the beginning HE is the WORD. That has not changed.
Now we go back to 1John Ch 3:4.
Sin is violation of the Torah. Without the Torah there is no sin and therefore mankind would not need a Savior therefore the Book of Revelation would not need to have been written. Claiming that the Law is done away with has destructive consequences that destroy faith, not enables faith.
Common sense goes a long way.
I hope whoever reads this opens their Bible and ask the HOLY SPIRIT to lead them in Truth.
Shalom and Blessings in YESHUA'S Blessed and Holy Name.
