Put 10 homosexuals on an island and leave them alone. They would not be able to procreate and would become extinct in a matter of years.
Put 5 married couples on an island--5 men married to five women. The couples would procreate and their children would marry and multiply. In time, the entire world would become populated from just 5 married couples.
