What did the Apostle Paul truly teach?

We're going to look very closely at the Apostle Paul

Paul was sent to the gentiles. That much is true.
But being sent to the Gentiles did not mean Paul was sent to teach a new teaching.

2 Peter Ch 3: 15 And think of our Lord's patience as deliverance, just as our dear brother Sha'ul also wrote you, following the wisdom God gave him.
16 Indeed, he speaks about these things in all his letters. They contain some things that are hard to understand, things which the uninstructed and unstable distort, to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures.

Let's look very deeply at verse 15 and 16

First we see that Peter is aware of the letters Paul wrote. The letters Paul wrote contained 'Wisdom' that G-D gave him.

Where do we get wisdom?

Proverbs Ch 9: 10 The fear of ADONAI is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of holy ones is understanding.

Proverbs Ch 2: 6 For ADONAI gives wisdom; from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.

Paul wrote nothing on his own. He did state some personal opinions that can be accepted or disregarded because what Paul offered were simply his personal opinions and not G-D ordained Truth.

So now we're going to look at a 'Chain of Command'.

G-D
YESHUA
Angels
Man

It's that simple.

If anything Paul wrote contradicts what G-D said then there are two things happening: You are either misinterpreting Paul's writing or Paul rebelled against G-D in order to create his own teachings. I do not think Paul would have rebelled against G-D, so that leaves the first option.

Everything Paul wrote must align with the Torah, the Writings and the Prophets or you are not reading what Paul wrote in truth.

Acts Ch 28: 23 So they arranged a day with him and came to his quarters in large numbers. From morning until evening he explained the matter to them, giving a thorough witness about the Kingdom of God and making use of both the Torah of Moshe and the Prophets to persuade them about Yeshua.

Paul's writing are part of what is called the New Testament. When Paul was preaching  on his missionary trips he didn't have the New Testament. So what did he preach and teach from? The Tanack (the Old Testament).

Luke Ch 24: 27 Then, starting with Moshe and all the prophets, he explained to them the things that can be found throughout the Tanakh concerning himself.

Even YESHUA, after HE rose from the dead, told the two men walking to  Amma'us where HE could be found in the Torah and the Prophets. If YESHUA did away with the Torah why did HE tell the two men where he could HE could be found in the Torah. If the Torah was done away with why do we read this:

Acts Ch 21:  18 The next day Sha'ul and the rest of us went in to Ya'akov, and all the elders were present.
19 After greeting them, Sha'ul described in detail each of the things God had done among the Gentiles through his efforts.
20 On hearing it, they praised God; but they also said to him, "You see, brother, how many tens of thousands of believers there are among the Judeans, and they are all zealots for the Torah.

The men who walked with YESHUA are the Elders. If YESHUA did away with the law they would have taught the Judeans who were zealous for the law that they were wrong--they did not.

Acts Ch 21: 24 Take them with you, be purified with them, and pay the expenses connected with having their heads shaved. Then everyone will know that there is nothing to these rumors which they have heard about you; but that, on the contrary, you yourself stay in line and keep the Torah.

They told to keep the law! And Paul did.

Paul did not teach that the law was done away with. In the Book of Galatians Paul is talking about how people pervert the law into Legalism instead of obeying the law by Grace. You can't say I'm holy because I outwardly obey the law. YESHUA said if a man looks at a woman in his heart and sin he is guilty. That is why the New Covenant is the Law written in our minds and on our hearts (Hebrews Ch 8).

Let's look at Acts Ch 15

Acts Ch 15: 21 For from the earliest times, Moshe has had in every city those who proclaim him, with his words being read in the synagogues every Shabbat."

The Gentiles, by obeying what the Elders told them to do, would be able to enter into the Synagogues and learn Torah on Shabbat.

In Ch 21 we see Paul obeying Torah--this was after all of his missionary trips were complete.
so did Paul just wrote lies to the gentiles and then please the Jews? Of course not.

Go back to what Peter said:

2 Peter Ch 3:  15 And think of our Lord's patience as deliverance, just as our dear brother Sha'ul also wrote you, following the wisdom God gave him.
16 Indeed, he speaks about these things in all his letters. They contain some things that are hard to understand, things which the uninstructed and unstable distort, to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures.

Paul's writing contain 'Hard' things to understand--things which the 'Uninstructed' and 'Unstable' distort to their own destruction--as they do the other Scriptures. Now pay attention the the words 'Other Scriptures'. What other Scriptures? The New Testament has not been written yet.
Peter is referring to the Torah, the Prophets and the Writings.
These are the Scriptures that Paul taught from.

Remember what Paul told Timothy.

2 Timothy Ch 3: 15 and recalling too how from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which can give you the wisdom that leads to deliverance through trusting in Yeshua the Messiah.

Paul told Timothy that from childhood he has known the Holy Scriptures. What Holy Scriptures (the New Testament has not been written yet). Paul is talking about the Torah, the Prophets and the Writings which leads to deliverance through trusting in YESHUA the MESSIAH--that is why YESHUA told the two men walking on the road where HE could be found in the Torah and the Prophets. The New Testament teaches us about the life of YESHUA and HIS Fulfillment of Prophecy and the Tanack teaches us who YESHUA is.

So did Paul teach the gentiles not to obey Torah? Of course he didn't and wouldn't. The gentile churches have distorted Paul's teachings into a very anti-Jewish doctrines. A doctrine that says 'That is for the Jews and this is for the Gentiles' while completely ignoring the fact that the Gentiles are grafted in through the Jews and the New Covenant is for the House of Y'hudah and Israel--no gentiles were mentioned (that is why gentiles are grafted in).
And again, the New Yerushalayim has 12 gates, each gate is named after one of the 12 tribes of Israel. There is no 13 gentile gate. Think very heavily on that.
I think some of the problem is 'Pride'. The gentiles do no want to humble themselves before the Jews.

Remember what YESHUA said:

John Ch 4: 22 You people don't know what you are worshipping; we worship what we do know, because salvation comes from the Jews.

Also in Isaiah

Isaiah Ch 2: 3 Many peoples will go and say, "Come, let's go up to the mountain of ADONAI, to the house of the God of Ya'akov! He will teach us about his ways, and we will walk in his paths." For out of Tziyon will go forth Torah, the word of ADONAI from Yerushalayim.

and Zechariah

Zechariah Ch 8: 23 ADONAI-Tzva'ot says, 'When that time comes, ten men will take hold - speaking all the languages of the nations - will grab hold of the cloak of a Jew and say, "We want to go with you, because we have heard that God is with you."'

There is no separate teachings for the Jew and the Gentile.

Deuteronomy Ch 6: 4 "Sh'ma, Yisra'el! ADONAI Eloheinu, ADONAI echad [Hear, Isra'el! ADONAI our God, ADONAI is one];

G-D is ONE. HE doesn't have different teachings, dispensations and replacement theology. Such teachings are rebellious toward G-D.

The gentiles are grafted in through G-D's chosen people and become part of HIS people and all of G-D's teachings and laws apply to everyone.

When you read Paul understand that he never taught the law was done away with. Paul's teachings are hard to understand at times but remember this: If an Orthodox Rabbi was blinded and found YESHUA and then was sent to America to teach a bunch of pagan gentiles about YESHUA, he would do so in a way he knew how from how he thinks, learned, understands. A way gentiles will not understand. Paul was a Pharisee. Remember that he was under that mindset when he taught.

I hope this helps some. Many will deny and ignore it. That's fine. I expect that
Remember the last church in Revelation is a church YESHUA will vomit out of HIS mouth because they are luke warm. You can't love G-D and deny HIS Law. Grace and Law are brothers, not enemies.

Shalom and blessings in YESHUA'S Precious and Holy Name.
